Carmignac appoints head of UK business development

Carmignac has boosted its UK client management team through the appointment of Gavin Ward as head of UK business development, as the firm looks to expand its footprint in the region.

Gavin will be responsible for the UK business development function, including leading the team of specialists. In this role, he will work across all client segments including retail, wholesale and institutional investors.

Reporting to the global head of sales, Martial Godet, Gavin will help to grow Carmignac’s UK business and improve its market penetration, including developing and delivering strategic third-party and institutional business development initiatives. He will also be responsible for identifying new areas for growth and bringing those ideas from concept to execution.

Gavin previously held senior distribution roles at Invesco and Standard Life Investments (now abrdn).
